Careful! Bowls are Hot! You can easily get a burn just swiping the bowls accidentally!
Had beef in the bowl! Wonderful, flavorful. Food remained hot for 15+/- minutes! (A very good thing to me!) -

I was on my way through town with my boyfriend and we decide to stop at our favorite Korean place for dinner but then found they are evidently closed on Sundays. I had driven by another Korean place a million times, but honestly was a little turned off by the exterior so i never stopped. I was so desperate for Bibimbap that I decide to try this place, Stone Bowl. Who knows, maybe I will be delightfully surprised!
Honestly, this building looks like it should have been knocked down when the last place went out of business. Not only is it a strong Bavarian/German theme, it just seems ran down. Then when you try and make it an Asian theme, but don't really get rid of the German theme, it's just all kinds of wrong. It's a weird combination of Hansel Aside from this, the interior also seems run down. There's a air duct with the vent hanging off. The ceiling has patches.
Our waitress was very nice and I have no complaints about the service. The food was fine. Not the best Korean and not good enough to override the atmosphere. But not bad either.
So 1 star for the atmosphere, but since the food and service was okay, I'll raise it to 3 stars. -

Before arriving I was super excited to try some Korean food. Even their website describes itself as "premium Korean" so I thought I was in for a treat.
Upon arrival it took some time for the staff to seat me. It was a weekday and not crowded by any means so the wait was strange to me. Although it looks like they have a sushi bar and sushi can be seen on other Yelp reviews, they don't sell sushi. I believe the waitress said it may make a comeback but who knows.
I ordered the chicken ramen. It was not bad by any means but I had expected to taste some new flavors that my palette wasn't accustomed to; being that I haven't tried Korean food before. The broth was nice but the chicken was too dry for my liking.
This would not be my first choice for Korean food or something I would make a special trip for...but if I was in the mood for some soup I would do a carry-out order. -

This is the worst korean restaurant. I can say this because my husband and I go to korean restaurant a lot and this is our first time trying the stonebowl. If I can only give 0 for this. I ordered the shrimp ramen and I thought there's a worm in my food. Not appetizing at all, for $17?! This is not worth it. We decided to go to another restaurant. My husband ordered the chicken stone bowl, oh god the rice was so hard. Also, we ordered japchae for $9 and there's nothing to it. Go to Haru or down by the covington. This place looks scary too.

My friends and I were trying to meet up later in the night to satisfy our Korean craving and this place is open until 10 pm, which is why we came. The place looks great form the outside and the inside, and they have a parking lot, which is nice.
However, aside from that I didn't really love the place. The service is nice, but the food isn't worth the price. My partner got the veggie ramen, which has very little broth and it wasn't that warm when he got it.
I ordered the pork belly stone bowl, but since they were out of pork belly, they gave me the chance to order seafood instead. It looks great but tasted rather bland and really dry. As if it didn't have any salt whatsoever. Adding sriracha did not help either.
Not having banchan was also disappointing. Not sure if I'll be back again.
